The method involves providing a fiber material (5) e.g. fabric. The fiber material is applied on an impregnating device. Matrix resin (8) is applied on the fiber material. The fiber material is pre-impregnated with the matrix resin by pressurizing the fiber material provided with the matrix resin with a high pressure and/or a low pressure. The low pressure is adjusted to a working environment pressure or an atmosphere pressure with a pressure difference ranging between 700 and 900 millibars. The fiber material is subsequently transformed to a fiber composite material component. The fiber material is provided with a grid like support coated with a plastic coating i.e. Teflon(RTM: PTFE) coating. An independent claim is also included for an impregnating device.
