The device (10) has a coupling gear (16) that is rotated by a rotatable eccentric unit (32) with respect to rotational axis (K) of a rotary element (12). The transmission elements (24) of a transmission element assembly (22) in a coupling region (44), are pivotally connected to eccentric unit rotatably supported by an eccentric unit carrier (34) around the rotational axis (E). The movement position of eccentric unit carrier is varied by an actuator assembly (46) along rotational axis of rotary element while deviating from a circular path with constant radius.
