The seal (10) has a hollow chamber portion (20) extending along longitudinal direction (L). A fastening region (40) is provided with a hollow chamber. A spacer (50) partly closes and stabilizes the hollow chamber. The spacer is securely placed in the fastening region. The fastening region comprises a projection (42), which rises up into the hollow chamber. The fastening region comprises a cross-sectional contraction with a stop surface (43) that transversely extends to the longitudinal direction. The spacer is placed on the stop surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a seal.
