The method involves providing a first signal amplified by a gain factor to the chemo-sensitive FET (110) to provide the output information. A reference transistor (114) is supplied with second signal, to obtain reference information. The chemo-sensitive FET is applied with measuring fluid, while the reference transistor is set in reference environment. The output information is compared with reference information, to adjust and evaluate amplification factor.
