The arrangement (1) has solar cell modules (3) interconnected with a common inverter (7). Power-bus lines (5a, 5b) enable selective connection of the solar cell modules to the inverter. The inverter comprises two pairs of maximum power point (MPP) inputs (7a, 7b), where the pairs of inputs are connected with the respective bus lines. Each module comprises an integrated switch unit for switching at one of the bus lines in dependent of current value of an internal state variable e.g. short circuit current. Another switch unit comprises a relay or semiconductor switch as a switching element.
