The treatment couch (1) comprises a lever mechanism (1.1) for vertical adjustment of the couch. A gear base (6) cooperates with a support lever (2), which is mounted on a side of a pivotable holding element (3). The transmission base and the support lever co-operates with a motor drive (4). A deflecting lever (5) is pivotally coupled with the support lever by a deflection bearing (5.2) and is rotatably supported by a base camp (6.5) at the gear base. A guide lever (7) is pivotally coupled to the support lever by a guide bearing (7.2).
