The method comprises applying an optically transparent a UV-curable adhesive, as a dot pattern, a line pattern or a triangular pattern, to a carrier and/or a component so that a surface of the component on the carrier is partially covered at an area within the edge of the surface by the adhesive, positioning (201) the component in a predetermined distance from a carrier to form a gap in which the fixing adhesive adheres both the component and the carrier, and irradiating the fixing adhesive with a UV-light when a firm adhesive bond is formed between the carrier and the component. The method comprises applying an optically transparent a UV-curable adhesive, as a dot pattern, a line pattern or a triangular pattern, to a carrier and/or a component so that a surface of the component on the carrier is partially covered at an area within the edge of the surface by the adhesive, positioning (201) the component in a predetermined distance from a carrier to form a gap in which the fixing adhesive adheres both the component and the carrier, irradiating the fixing adhesive with a UV-light when a firm adhesive bond is formed between the carrier and the component by the fixing adhesive, supernatant-free filling (202) the gap by an optically transparent filler adhesive, where the fixing adhesive and the filler adhesive are dual cure adhesive, hardening (204) the dual cure adhesive by an elevated temperature, and irradiating (203) the gap filled with the dual cure adhesive with the UV-light until the adhesive is hardened in a region of side surfaces of the gap so that the component is fixed on the carrier. The fixing adhesive and the filler adhesive have an optical refractive index of 1.5, and are identical. The dual cure adhesive is based on epoxy resin. A ceramic carrier is a detector or a detector module for detecting an ionizing radiation, and/or the component is a counting element such as a photodiode for detecting the ionizing radiation. An independent claim is included for a detector for detecting an ionizing radiation.
