The method involves controlling a clutch actuator for disengagement and engagement of a friction clutch and gear plates for removing and inserting gears in a transmission by switching dynamic (SD) during shift operation of a drive motor. The switching dynamic of the shift operation is determined depending on corrected driving resistance (FFW-kor). The switching dynamic is increased with increasing nominal driving resistance (FFW-nom). The nominal driving resistance is corrected depending on operational parameters e.g. vehicle mass.
