The windscreen wiper device has wiper bearing that is attached to chassis of motor vehicle, in which bearing shaft is mounted. A bearing plate or motor crank (5) is provided on bearing shaft to receive and transmit the forces and moments occurring in wiping operation. The plastic ball pin (7) is fixed to self-tapping thread portion (8) of bearing plate. The axial movement of ball pin is restricted in the bearing plate by forming abutment surface (9) in ball pin for exact positioning of bearing plate.
