The headrest assembly (1) has a latch that locks the head-side supporting assembly and the support-side reclining assembly together with the teeth of a locking element, in a locked state. The head-side supporting assembly is adjustable relative to the support-side reclining assembly about the pivot axis (S), in an unlocked state. A pawl (20) is not-completely out of engagement with teeth of a retainer (21) and with a headrest (10) pivoted about the pivot axis, such that the pawl slides over the teeth.
