The apparatus has a blower (1) i.e. radial blower, provided with a blower inlet port for sucking air. An air conditioning element (6) e.g. air filter, is utilized for conditioning air flowing through the apparatus. A diffuser channel directs air from a blower exhaust opening to the air conditioning element. The diffuser channel is provided with a large expansion at a diffuser inlet in a direction parallel to a fictitious plane stretched from the element, where the expansion is larger than that in an inlet side of the element in a direction.
