Use of an active agent for preventing and/or treating autoimmune, inflammatory and/or immune disorders, is claimed, where the active agent influences, preferably inhibits or activates at least one gene comprising ubiquitin specific peptidase 18 (USP18), suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS)1, SOCS3, and lymphotoxin beta or their gene variants and/or their gene products. An independent claim is included for a substance for diagnosis of autoimmune, inflammatory and/or immune disorders, where the substance detects the gene or its variants and/or products.
