The method involves determining a part of a computed tomography image data record by a standard reconstruction exclusively based on current measurement data. Remaining part of the computed tomography-image data record is determined by information-supplemented reconstruction. A threshold value is defined for a maximum portion of unused projections for aborting a scan. Another threshold value is defined for the maximum portion of the unused projections to a projection angular range for executing the standard reconstruction. An independent claim is also included for a computed tomography system.
