The lubricant supply unit has a metering device (1) provided with a hollow cylinder (2). A piston (3) is located at a bottom surface (4) of the cylinder. A non-return valve is arranged at a bottom surface (5) of the piston. A low-pressure region (6) and a high-pressure region are provided between the bottom surfaces of cylinder and piston. An annular duct (7) is located between cylinder and piston and is connected with an oil passage portion. The cylinder and piston having elliptic or oval sectional shape deviating from circular shape are connected with each other.
