The device (2) has a housing that is arranged opposite to a machine housing (3) for mounting a slide bearing around the axis of a drive wheel (5). Two tensioning rollers (6,7) are arranged front and back of the drive wheel for pressurizing the belt. A spring is arranged with respect to the clamp arm in the housing for generating a bias force. The tensioning rollers are supported on the clamp arm and the housing respectively. The slide bearing is supported using a bearing point (10) on bearing support at the side of drive wheel of the housing. An independent claim is included for electric machine.
