The method involves receiving a tire load signal, which represents a tire load of a tire of a vehicle (100). Free flight guidance information are generated by a generating unit (111) based on comparison of a course of the tire load signal with a reference course for the tire load signal. Farther free guidance reference information are received based on a value of an acceleration sensor of the vehicle. The farther free flight guidance information are combined with the free flight guidance information by a combination device (116) to produce a free flight condition signal.
