The mechanism has a bearing arrangement (2) for bearing a movable component (1), and a base component (3) for supporting the bearing arrangement. An adjusting drive shifts the movable component relative to the base component, and a control device (4) controls the drive based on a position signal. A sensor device (5) i.e. angle measuring sensor, is integrated into the bearing arrangement and generates the position signal. The bearing arrangement comprises a bearing outer sleeve and a bearing inner sleeve. The outer and inner sleeves are supported against each other by a sliding bearing device. The bearing arrangement is designed as a sealed bearing unit such as grooved ball bearing, skew-angle roller bearing, taper roller bearing, barrel roller bearing or swivel-joint roller bearing.
