The connection unit (12) has a holding device (18) comprising a holding element that is formed such that the holding element is connected with a connecting tube (14). The holding device is rotatably engaged along circumferential direction around longitudinal direction relative to a base body (16) or over a predetermined circumferential angular range. A link surface is formed at the base body, and co-acts with a counter cam surface that is attached to the holding element to convert a rotating movement of the holding device relative to the base body into a radial movement of the holding element. An independent claim is also included for a connection assembly.
