The method involves operating a hybrid drive (200) by a driving profile. A combustion engine (210) is operated in a drag operation on a motor-generator (220) for a drive profile without traction contribution of the combustion engine. Charge air from an air pressure side on an exhaust side is conducted to the combustion engine during the drag operation. An electronic track timetable is evaluated for a predictive management of an electrical energy store (230) i.e. lithium ion battery, and converted into the driving profile of sections. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control device (2) a hybrid drive.
