The picture display device has a two-dimensional image display matrix (1) for displaying images. A frame (2) surrounds two-dimensional image display matrix whose surface (11) is protruded towards the observer. A front plate (3) is mounted on the frame and is arranged in front of the image display matrix, such that a front side (4) of front plate is made to face the viewer and a rear side (5) is made to face the image display matrix. The frame is engaged into a recess (10) formed at rear side of the front plate.
