The air vent is provided with a valve body (102) having diffuse channels (222,224), a spot channel (226) and guide devices (232,234) for controlling air flow through the diffuse channel and the spot channel. A swirl body that is connected to the valve body is arranged in the flow direction of the air stream. A receiving element is provided for receiving an optional mountable device for swirling of a guided air stream through the diffuse channel. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing an air vent.
