The method involves arranging a series of energy storage cells (12) for electrically connecting the cell arresters (14) of the energy storage cells. The electrical interconnection elements (16) are produced by joining cell arresters together, and sliding butt joint fixing cap (20). The embossment portions are electrically connected with cell arresters in mutual engagement. An independent claim is included for energy storage cell.
