The household refrigerator has a refrigerant circuit, in which a compressor (9) circulates a refrigerant between a condenser and an evaporator, and an internal combustion engine for driving the compressor. The internal combustion engine is designed for gaseous fuel and is manufactured with micro-structure techniques. The internal combustion engine is a turbine, and the compressor has a blade wheel. An independent claim is included for an arrangement with a biogas generator.
