The sander (100) has a housing (8) at which a main arm (12) is arranged, and two arms (4, 5) attached at the main arm. A driving pulley (7) is drivable by a drive unit, and a stationary deflection roller (3) rotates a ring-like abrasive belt (10). The arms are rotatably arranged at the main arm through two joints (19a, 19b), respectively. Two tensioning rollers (1, 2) are utilized for stretching the belt. The arms are swingably coupled to each other through a connector (9) e.g. shift joint. The belt rotates the driving pulley, the tensioning rollers and the deflection roller.
