The system has a computer unit (4) i.e. tablet personal computer, and a graphic user interface (6) where the computer unit generates a context-referred machine-readable code (10) i.e. two-dimensional matrix code, and the machine-readable code is displayed on the user interface. An auxiliary terminal (12) i.e. camera, detects the machine-readable code and distance from a medical device (2). A located evaluation unit (22) i.e. central manufacturer-specific system, is connected with the auxiliary terminal over a data connection (20). The auxiliary terminal forwards the machine-readable code.
