The tool e.g. hammer drill (34), has a sensor detecting acceleration of the tool and an evaluation and/or controlling unit (12), and another sensor detecting spatial alignment of the tool. The sensors are formed by a micro-electromechanical system and formed in single-piece, where the sensors form a sensing unit (18). An output unit (20) i.e. LCD, comprises an optical, acoustic and/or haptic output element (22), and an attenuator attenuates the sensors. The evaluation and/or controlling unit includes a storage element for storing the spatial alignment.
