The pressure relief valve has a valve housing (1) with an input (2) and an output (3), where the input and the output are connected over an axially slidable valve element (4) that is received in the valve housing. A hydraulically actuated valve (8) is arranged in a bore (7), whose opening pressure is smaller than the opening pressure of the pressure relief valve. The hydraulically actuated valve is connected with a spring chamber (5) in the opening position of the input. The spring chamber is relieved over a relief bore (12) that is formed in the valve housing. An independent claim is included for a fuel delivery device with a pressure side that is connected with a suction side over a pressure relief valve.
