The present invention relates to a radiation therapy unit (51), comprising– a therapeutic radiation source for providing a beam for the irradiation of a moving target volume (15) and– a beam guidance in front of the direction of the directing the beam to the target volume (15), wherein the beam guidance direction:– a collimator (11, 55) with a collimator for limiting of the beam,– a positioning device (31, 59) for positioning of the target volume (15) relative to the beam, and– a control device (63) for controlling a position of the collimator relative to the beam and for controlling a position of the positioning device (31, 59) in such a way,that in the case of the tracking of the beam, the movement of the target volume (15) in a first direction of movement (23, 27) by a method of the collimator is compensated, and the movement of the target volume (15) in a second direction of movement (25, 29) by repositioning of the target volume (15) with the positioning device (31, 59) is compensated for.
