The fire extinguishing system has a tube (14) which extends from an extinguishing agent supply (16) to an extinguishing agent outlet (171,172), where the extinguishing agent outlet is arranged in a cold portion (19) of the tube. A continuous flow heater (21) for the extinguishing agent (15) is arranged in the tube between the extinguishing agent supply and the extinguishing agent outlet. The continuous flow heater is dimensioned such that the extinguishing agent flow is heated around 20 degree centigrade, particularly 30 degree centigrade.
