The engine (1) has a valve train (3) attached to a cylinder head (2), and cam shafts (4, 5) comprising a cam (7) and an actuator (6), where the cam is axially displaceable by the actuator. Multi-part carriers (12) i.e. lead frames, are arranged between a lower part (10) and an upper part of the cylinder head, where the actuator is fastened at the carriers. The carriers comprise an attachment point (16) for an attachment part (17) of a fuel pump or an oil pump of the engine. The lower and upper parts of the cylinder head are made of metal i.e. aluminum, and plastic, respectively.
