The toilet (1) has a body (2) made from ceramics and comprising a bowl with a drain that is formed in a front bowl area. A drain pipe i.e. plastic pipe, is attached to the drain in a mounting condition. A fluid channel is formed at the drain pipe, and a closing unit is provided for reversibly closing a cross-section of the drain pipe such that fluid flowing from the bowl enters into the fluid channel. The closing unit has a movably supported plate that is movable between opening and closing positions, where the plate is coupled with an operating lever. An independent claim is also included for a sanitary device comprising a toilet.
