The electrode (10) has a main needle (12) arranged with a tissue friendly penetrating tip (14), and a curved contact needle (16) i.e. bimetal spring, arranged with a contact needle tip (18). The tip is connected with the main needle by a contact support element (20). The contact needle is arranged at angle of about 90 degrees from a free upper end (24) of the contact support element that projects laterally after implantation. The contact needle tip projects laterally above the main needle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrode.
