The additional collar or weather-proof collar is made of a textile material, where a stand up collar is formed as a collar portion (1). The stand up collar is designed in connection with a bib which extends over the shoulders of a person carrying the collar. The collar portion is designed as a high collar to provide sufficient warmth to ears and face, and is folded down when not in use. The collar is opened and closed at the front by a connecting device. The connecting device is a Velcro(RTM: fabric hook and loop fastener), button, snap, zipper, or hook bands.
