The method involves enlarging a mold cavity (4) at a closed mold in a temporary manner against or close to a runner (5) till an injection process is carried out. The cavity enlargement is filled by undoing the cavity, where additional stress is applied. An independent claim is included for an apparatus for facilitating the injection of highly viscous plastic masses into a mold cavity of a mold, particularly for thin-walled articles in an injection molding.
