The axle has steerable wheels (4) whose ends facing the center of a motor vehicle are connected with a horizontal profiled rail (5) projected into an axle body (8). The center of the wheels are connected with a circular curved profiled rail (10) projected in the axle body, so that other end points of the wheels carry-out a rectilinear and vertical movement. A vibration damper comprises a piston rod (3) whose free end has a rectangular cylinder that is displaceable by liquid flowing through the damper such that a pivotal axis of the wheel does not change its spatial alignment.
