The excavator e.g. hydraulic excavator (1), has a work equipment (10) attached to a stationary upper platform part (5) by an arbitrary swivel unit (12). A swivel-movable rear upper platform part (6) is attached to the stationary upper platform part in a horizontally swivel bearing (7) that is spaced from a swivel bearing (11). An operative connection unit (8) is provided between rear upper platform side and work equipment side deflection bearings in construction of a diverter (9) or in construction of corresponding encoder hydraulic cylinders and tracking hydraulic cylinders.
