The method involves supplying gas contaminated with the radio-active emitting particles to an electric field that is formed by a negatively charged discharge electrode (6) and a positively charged precipitation electrode (4) inside a closed housing. The closed housing is outwardly shielded against radio-active radiation. The radio-active emitting particles are charged electrically, while passing the discharge electrode. The particles are attracted by the positively charged precipitation electrode within the electric field. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for the execution of particles separation and removal method; and (2) a method for cleaning surface of precipitation electrode.
