The box has a global system for mobile communication (GSM)module equipped with a subscriber identity module (SIM) card. The SIM card is designed as an emergency call SIM card (2) i.e. universal integrated circuit card (UICC), of a prioritization enabled mobile radio network to provide a number of priority levels for connections. An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) is stored in the SIM card. An Internet protocol (IP) address is assigned to the SIM card, which comprises multiple phone number storage locations such that numbers are dialed-up from the stored locations. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an emergency telephone-box.
