The converter (1) has a permanent magnet (15) moved relative to a generator coil (2) i.e. flat coil. A voltage converter (14) converts alternating voltage induced in the generator coil into direct voltage. The voltage converter includes a switching regulator with a switch (3) for short circuiting a coil, where the generator coil is used as the coil for the switching regulator. A control unit (5) controls the switch. An energy storage unit (8) stores converted electrical energy. The switch and a rectifier (7) are connected parallel to the generator coil. The switching regulator is designed as a boost converter or buck converter.
