The application system (1) has a main elastic support layer (3) which is provided with recesses (3a), in which is to-be-attached character (2) is inserted. The main elastic support layer consists of a resiliently deformable material. The recesses of the main support layer are provided with two or more edge regions on the outer edge of the to-be-attached character in order to keep the character form in positive manner. The edge of to-be-attached character is held in position by the cover layers (5,6).
