A circumferential rim (40) is formed between the cavities and corresponding tool assemblies such that preform (32) is introduced into the tool assembly. The tool assemblies are respectively sealed with the cavities formed in tool units by corresponding sealing slides (34,36) which are mounted movably on the respective tool units and borne against the preform.
