The meter (1) has a float element arranged in a measuring tube and deflectable by a flow of a fluid, and a transmitter provided with a shaft (3) for detection and conversion of deflection of the float element into a relative deflection of the shaft. A trigger (5) i.e. tab (7), is coupled with the shaft and operated by a limit switch that is designed as a reed switch (9). The trigger comprises a magnetic field creating unit. A display device comprises a measuring pointer (10) and a scale. The switch, the trigger, the transmitter and the display device are arranged in a common housing.
