Actuator system for aircraft for adjusting load of aircraft, has electric motor-driven actuating device and eddy current brake for converting mechanical energy partially or completely into heat by introducing load into actuating device
The actuator system has an electric motor-driven actuating device and an eddy current brake that is arranged to convert the mechanical energy partially or completely into heat. The mechanical energy is converted by introducing a load in the actuating device. The eddy current brake is directly mounted on the electric motor. An additional thermal mass is provided for heat energy intermediate storage outside a brake disk of a brake unit. The actuator system is designed such that the mechanical energy not converted into the electrical energy is introduced into the actuating device.
