Device for damping rotational speed of shaft during winding or unwinding of safety belt used in motor car, has damping elements that are switched off or turned on by enabling operating mode for causing frictional interaction
The device has damping elements (3) that are moved translatory to each other in dependence of positions and are interacted with one another. The damping elements are axially moved with respect to a shaft. An operating mode is enabled by the damping for causing frictional interaction independent of positions of the damping elements such that the disconnected damping elements are switched off or turned on. An independent claim is included for method for damping rotational speed of shaft.
