The appliance has a metallic housing portion (1) connected with a front diaphragm (2) for covering a side region of the appliance. A receiving region is arranged between the front diaphragm and the housing portion, and a document (3) is inserted in the receiving region. The front diaphragm is made of heat conducting plastic, and the housing portion is manufactured from a metal sheet part i.e. punching bending part. The front diaphragm includes reinforcing ribs with a side that faces toward the housing portion, where the reinforcing ribs transversally extend along a pushing direction.
