Converting thermoplastic fiber semifinished plate (1) having oriented fibers to three-dimensionally formed thermoplastic semifinished product (10) having defined orientation degree, comprises (a) heating the fiber semifinished plate by a heating device (2) to a temperature below a softening temperature of the thermoplastic, (b) positioning the fiber semifinished plate present on a form module (3), in a molding chamber (4), and (c) supplying a fluid into the molding chamber and flowing towards the fiber semifinished plate from above, and pressing heated fiber semifinished plate on form module. Converting thermoplastic fiber semifinished plate (1) having oriented fibers to three-dimensionally formed thermoplastic semifinished product (10) having defined orientation degree, comprises (a) heating the fiber semifinished plate by a heating device (2) to a temperature below a softening temperature of the thermoplastic, (b) positioning the fiber semifinished plate present on a form module (3) that reflects the three-dimensional shape, in a molding chamber (4) such that the fiber semi-finished plate lies with its fiber orientation corresponding to a orientation at the form module provided for the three-dimensionally formed semifinished product, and (c) supplying a fluid into the molding chamber and flowing towards the fiber semifinished plate from above, pressing the heated fiber semifinished plate on the form module, and forming the three-dimensionally formed thermoplastic semifinished product. An independent claim is also included for the three dimensionally formed thermoplastic fiber semifinished product having predefined orientation degree, which is produced by the above method, where the fibers in the three dimensionally formed thermoplastic fiber semifinished product are present undistorted and are having predefined orientation degree. The fiber semifinished product is a composite layer- fiber-semifinished product made from at least two fiber semifinished product layers having different fiber orientation.
