The arrangement has a holding element (11) for attaching a curtain rail (19) at an upper side (2) of an overhead compartment (1). The holding element includes a recess (13) for fastening at the upper side of the compartment. A threaded bushing (14) corresponds to the recess and is provided at the upper side of the compartment. The threaded bushing enables fastening of the holding element in firm preset distance steps away over a section of a width of the compartment, where the distance steps amount to one inch.
