Producing austenite-containing fine-dendritic cast steel exhibiting increased transformation induced plasticity or twinning induced plasticity properties with an equivalent value for the stacking fault energy (W) of the austenite of less than 55 mJ/m 2, corresponding to the relation W[mJ/m 2] is equal to 230 percentage of carbon minus 54 percentage nitrogen minus 0.1 percentage chromium plus 2 percentage nitrogen minus 4 percentage silicon plus 0.1 percentage molybdenum minus 1 percentage manganese minus 0.6 percentage cobalt plus 0.4 percentage aluminum plus 4 percentage copper plus 3 percentage niobium, comprises blowing species-characteristic particles (5 mass%) having a particle diameter of less than 150 mu m with inert gas, into the casting stream during casting. INDEPENDENT CLAMS are also included for: (1) the austenitic cast steel part produced by the above method, where the cast steel at room temperature exhibits 0.2% yield strength of 200-450 MPa, a tensile strength of 600-900 MPa, a necking of 70-100% and an elongation at break of 50-100%, and the product of tensile strength and elongation at break has a value of 45000-60000 MPa%; and (2) a austenitic-martensitic cast steel part produced by the above method, where the cast steel at room temperature exhibits 0.2% yield strength of 300-800 MPa, a tensile strength of 800-1600 MPa, a necking of 20-70% and an elongation at break of 10-60%, and the product of tensile strength and elongation at break has a value of 16000-48000 MPa%.
