The device (1) has an exhaust gas bypass (3) provided with a bypass flap (4) that is arranged parallel to an exhaust turbine. An actuator (7) controls the bypass flap under pressure-dependent in a partial load operation of a combustion engine. The actuator comprises a pressure cell (9) and a linkage (8) standing in mechanical connection with the bypass flap. The pressure cell comprises a pressure chamber (13) and a vacuum chamber (14) separated by a control membrane (10). A return spring (11) is arranged in the vacuum chamber and co-acts with the control membrane. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a combustion engine (2) a method for controlling an exhaust gas turbocharger of a loading air compressor.
