The cushion has a foam padding (2) in which a contour of a seat surface (21) is formed with seat flanges (22). The padding is arranged on a planar carrier (5) that is made of metal- or plastic mold part. Structural and elastic reinforcement elements (3) made of expanded polypropylene foam are arranged in the seat flanges and laterally arranged adjacent to the seat surface. The reinforcement elements are covered by the padding in an area (23) of a backrest linkage. A fastening element (4) is arranged in the reinforcement elements for form-fittingly fixing at the carrier.
